Pencil sketch – Eleanor Tomlinson
Palpatine sketch
This is a pencil sketch on A4 paper of Emperor Palpatine. After watching the new trailer for Star Wars Episode IX and hearing the Emperors cackling laugh, it inspired me to pick up a pencil and do this sketch. The quote is from Return of the Jedi to Luke Skywalker just before the Emperor… No spoilers for the 30 odd year old movie 😀

Geek & Sundry vlog update
Thanks to everyone who has supported me so far in this quest to become a Geek & Sundry vlogger!
I am very happy to confirm I have been selected in the top 30 to go through to the final round of voting 😀
For the final round I will create a second video. Voting for the final round takes place from the 10th to the 19th of July.
Details and links to follow when I have them.
Here is my original video which got me through the first round. It’s far from perfect but did the job. I’ll be looking to improve key areas in my next video.
Geek & Sundry Vlog
Hi Everyone. I have drawn a picture of Felicia Day but I need your help to decide how to finish the drawing before I paint it.
Should she become a Robot, zombie or a reptile?
If you would like to see how I created this drawing click here to watch my Geek & Sundry Vlog. Please vote for me if you like the video as it could give me the opportunity to make more videos for Geek & Sundry.
To help me choose Robot, zombie or reptile click here to go to the Tube page where you can add a comment.
I really want to make this ambition a reality so I’d really appreciate it if anyone can take the time to vote and comment 🙂
Thank you!
Here’s the drawing so far.
Felicia Day sketch 4
Felicia Day painting preparation sketch 4.
Here’s a sketch of the headshot I will probably use for the painting. I may change the expression slightly when it comes to painting the picture. This one had a bit more time spent on it and I used some darker pencils so it’s a bit smudged but it turned out okay in the end. The paper wore a bit thin in places where I’d overworked some areas.

Felicia Day sketch
Before creating a painting where I have to get the features correct so the face is recognisable, I like to do a few sketches first. By doing this I can learn the facial features of that person from different angles which helps to improve the final piece.
I plan on doing a painting featuring Felica Day, (with a Sci-Fi twist), so here’s a pencil sketch of her as I start to learn her features.
