First batch of photos uploaded

San Diego Comic-Con 2009 – I had the opportunity to look around the convention centre before the Preview night began so I took a few photos of the various companies setting their stands up. It was nice to look around freely and get my bearings before the mad crush of people arrived. Thanks to Stephen Robson for getting me into the convention centre early.

Concept art books 2

Art Books

I purchased several books over the weekend. The art of Mass Effect, Halo 3 and Revenge of the Sith (Good sales pitch Troy ;))

The best bargain was the Art of Mass Effect from Gamestation – RRP £14.99. It was old stock reduced to £7.49 but when I took it to the counter it scanned in at 1p and that’s the price I was asked to pay! Bargain of the year so far!!

I’m back

Down the escalator after registration

I’m back from San Diego and my first trip to Comic-Con. I met a lot of generous and talented people and received a lot of good advice. Still trying to catch up and get my sleep pattern sorted out.

I’ll post some of the many photos I took this week. There was so much to take in it was impossible to see and do everything but I did the majority of things I set out to do.

I imagine many people took the same photo as I did above. This is coming down the escalator after registering and picking up my pass.

New blog is live!

Finally, I’ve managed to switch my server hosting and create this new integrated WordPress blog rather that streaming from a different site.

There’s bound to be some niggles so let me know if you see anything that doesn’t look right or work properly.

I’ve made it as presentable as I can for now but I’ll be tweaking it until I’m totally happy with it.

Every journey has a beginning

comic-con 2009

I have wanted to go to San Diego Comic-con for many years now, but every year there’s been some excuse not to go. This time there should be no excuse! Or so I thought…

I’m still waiting for my new passport to be delivered before I can book a flight. Should be here this week though. I’ve been working many hours of overtime to pay for the trip. I just need to sort out my portfolio and some business cards now and hope that everything goes to plan.
